God is compassionate to those in need. God saves the needy. What an amazing concept! This is exactly opposite from our culture that tells us to put our own self forward. Sometimes, when I look at my life, I wonder why God hasn’t answered some of my prayers differently or sooner than He has. I wonder why He hasn’t protected me all together from certain hurts and pains. There are certainly some tough and interesting verses in Scripture. One interesting place in Scripture is where Jesus says that one day He will turn many away. They think they have called Him “Lord, Lord”, but He will say, “Away from me, I never you.” (See Matthew 7:21-23.)
