If you have never received Jesus and salvation (or if you are unsure), and you desire to do so, know that the steps of salvation are as simple as A, B, C.
Accept (and understand) God’s truth.
Believe on Jesus (and all that He offers to us).
Call on Jesus for salvation, and follow Him.
First, we must know and accept what God declares about:
- Himself (He is righteous and loves us greatly.)
- Life’s purpose (God created us to know Him and love Him.)
- Ourselves (Every person falls short of God’s ways, commands, and law. God declares this is sin, and the penalty is death. We lose the life He originally gave us, and our relationship with Him is broken.)
- God, with great love, offers us salvation as a free gift. (He has provided a way of salvation for us through Jesus, His Son. Jesus lived the perfect life that we couldn’t live, and He died for us, taking the penalty for our sins; then, He was resurrected to life, in God’s power. As we receive Jesus and His life, death, and resurrection, we are forgiven; restored back to God; and given new life, His Spirit, and His help.)
Salvation is a free gift that God gives to us if we will receive it.
It is by grace you have been saved through faith. This is not your own doing, but it is the gift of God; it is not the result of works, so that no one may boast (Eph. 2:8-9).
Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved (Acts 2:21).
If you desire salvation, simply talk to God (which is prayer). You can pray something like this prayer:
God, I know that I have sinned against You, and I need Your salvation and grace. I do believe that Jesus died for my sins, rose from the grave, and lives. Thank You that You love me and have provided for my salvation. Thank You that You hear my prayer. I want new life. Help me to know You, and Your love, kindness, peace, and joy. Help me to love You and live for You. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
Be assured that God will begin to work in your life. Walk with God as He leads, including finding a Bible-believing church, being baptized, and acknowledging Jesus to others (Heb. 10:25; Mark 16:16; Rom. 10:9).
May God greatly bless you with faith, peace, and a bountiful life in Him.
