There is a right time for everything. There is a time to be silly and a time to be serious. There is a time to work and a time to wait. There is a time to plant and a time to enjoy the harvest.
Ecclesiastes 3 (NKJV), (or The Message) shares more on this beautifully and poetically.
Our job is to know what our needs are at any given time and to, accordingly, do what is right for those circumstances. In God’s Word we are given some basic premises.
Always in righteousness (right-thinking and right-living) – we are to practice.
In troubled times – we are to seek God’s plan, stay faithful, calm, and call on Him.
In times of decision – we are to seek wise counsel and God’s path.
In doubt – we are to wait on Him and turn to Him and His Word for strength.
In times of battle and trouble – we are to ask God for the victory.
In prayer – we are to praise Him, rest in Him, and seek to know Him more.
In the world – we are to be faithful to Christ, be different than the world, and share the truth and mercy of Christ.
In our tasks and all we do – we are to seek to magnify God so that He will be praised and glorified in a world that is dark and that struggles to see Him.
In our thoughts – we are to think on truth, righteousness, good things, and mercy.
We are to – Pray. Rejoice. Do Right. (Practice right-living and right-thinking.) Call on God. Wait on God. Repeat.
Where are you on this list? What are your needs today?
Have a blessed week in God, this week, as you practice these steps.
