Trusting, Believing for all Things

By Robbi Cary | October 11, 2011 | Category: Importance of God's Biblical Proof, Power, and Promises for Peace and Joy

Don’t be afraid. Just Believe. Mark 5:36

Daughter, your faith has healed you. Mark 5:34

This faith, believing thing is hard and amazing.

When I’m fearful, doubtful, unbelieving, and afraid I know I must go to Scripture and secure a promise and a seed within God’s Word. I must grab hold and not let go.

Like the lady did in pursuing Jesus through a jostling, pushing crowd, she kept reaching for Him, determined to touch His cloak, trusting that His power was more than enough for her to be healed by Him.

Like those who risked being ridiculed, laughed at, and mocked by others, but got to Jesus anyway – trusting that they would not be cast aside, but they would be cared for, tended to, and lifted up by Him.

Like the friends who cleverly took apart a roof just so they could drop their buddy down in front of Jesus, because they saw and trusted that Jesus was compassionately healing those who came to Him.

Lord, help me to have faith like this for my family, kids, and friends, as well as myself. Help me to know I just have to get myself to you, trust you, and follow you even if the way seems hard.

Sometimes I look around at others and their blessings and I start to compare their great spiritual life to mine and their effective spiritual accomplishments to mine, but I hear you say to me, God –

Don’t be jealous and don’t be afraid. I have given you and your family a different story. Just trust and believe.

Thank you, Jesus. I praise you.

You are powerful to heal and I thank you for your loving, healing kindness and power that I have experienced in my life and seen in my each of member of my family’s life. Thank you, God that you want continued healing for each of us.
