Importance of God's Biblical Proof, Power, and Promises for Peace and Joy

Jesus’ Power

March 10, 2011 by dcamomile

Jesus holds all power. Power over disease. Power over demons. Power over nature. (He calmed the storm and walked on water.) Power over matter. (He turned water into wine, a few small loaves and fishes into a feast.) Power (and forgiveness) over sin. Power over death. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. Hebrews 1:3 Jesus is our Savior and desires that we are resurrected in …

Valuing and Glimpsing God’s Relentless Love

December 30, 2010 by dcamomile

We talk comfortably about God’s blanket of love that covers everything. We mistakenly do this, because we think it is easy for God to love us. We think it is easy for God to graciously love, love, love us even though we sin and transgress against Him and we are rebellious to His purposes and desires. We might even mistakenly believe it was easy for Him to send Christ as a sacrifice for our transgressions and rebelliousness. But what we don’t understand is how God has pursued us – a rebellious people. In any relationship, when one party is flagrantly …

Abundant God-Gifts We’re in Possession Of!

December 3, 2010 by dcamomile

What a glorious revealing glimpse of God’s goodness, the book of Ephesians is. But when I go to copy a verse or two, to share it here in my blog post, it doesn’t seem to do it justice and ring out with the glorious truth of the entire book! The first three chapters of Ephesians especially try to unveil the treasures that are ours – once we have given our lives to God through Jesus Christ. If you ever struggle like I do occasionally, with stressing over God’s do’s and don’ts, READ Ephesians. God wants to lavish on us – …

God is Compassionate to those in Need

November 4, 2010 by dcamomile

God is compassionate to those in need. God saves the needy. What an amazing concept! This is exactly opposite from our culture that tells us to put our own self forward. It isn’t those who bring something to God. It is not those who have something to offer. It is those who come in need who find God. God doesn’t rejoice in those who come to Him with their goodness – for who can compare their “goodness” to the goodness of God? No matter how good someone is – God is more pure, more Holy, more  perfect, more just, more …

I Must Remember God’s Awesome Truths

October 25, 2010 by dcamomile

How come I so easily forget God’s truths? Thankfully I go back to God’s Word and I’m refreshed and reminded, otherwise I am overwhelmed and beaten down by this life. I turn to 2 Corinthians 1 and I see afresh these truths: 1) God wants to comfort us – 3Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, 4who comforts us in all our troubles… I need to remind myself that I have to go to God and share with Him my circumstances, failings, and needs. Instead …

Does Jesus Know You?

October 22, 2010 by dcamomile

There are certainly some tough and interesting verses in Scripture. One interesting place in Scripture is where Jesus says that one day He will turn many away. They think they have called Him “Lord, Lord”, but He will say, “Away from me, I never you.” (See Matthew 7:21-23.) He doesn’t say, “Away from me, you never knew me.” (And we can certainly know much about God to a large degree by reading Scripture and studying His Word, but that doesn’t mean that we know Him as one friend knows another.) He says, “I never knew you.” This is in light …

Sticking Close to our Father…

October 10, 2010 by dcamomile

“The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life….” John 3:35-36 Have you ever been with someone important at a special place or event where the security people mean business? As long as you stay with that person you’re okay. If anybody approaches you and asks who you are and what you’re doing there, you either reply, “I’m with him (or her),” or your friend replies, “They’re with me.” And you’re good to go. The security personnel who could haul you out in an instant, step back and give …

Miracles Are a Divine Touch From God

September 28, 2010 by dcamomile

Miracles are a divine touch…a supernatural intervention from God. Don Colbert MD I need God’s supernatural intervention and divine touch everyday. And every now and then I need a flat-out miracle. Thankfully, God is still in the miracle and restoration business. From the beginning He has restored, and enabled us to have a grand relationship with Him  – the Creator of this awesome world.  On top of that, He also restores (and continues to restore) lives, health, souls, and relationships. God has personally given me some miracles and for that I most grateful (and why I have this blog). The …
